early literacy activities

Free reproducible language and early literacy activities supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs, and produced by Washington Learning Systems] Washington Learning Systems’ new free online materials are designed to encourage parents to interact with their children while they are "On the Go" to facilitate language, early literacy, and positive parent-child interactions. The materials include 14 activities as well as accompanying hints for each of the activities about how to modify the activities to meet the specific developmental needs of the child. To download materials go to http://www.walearning.com and click on the purple button that says "Free Parent Education Handouts" on the home page. Look for the "On the Go" file to download the materials in PDF format.

Santa and Mrs. Claus visited the WCPL and read stories to our storytime hour.
Community South Credit Union sent over the Polar Express and the Night before Christmas to be read and candy canes to be passed out!
Mrs. Zedra had the silver bells from the Polar Express that were handed out by the famous couple!
